John Hamburg has made his name writing funny lines for Ben Stiller to say. The writer of Zoolander, both Fockers films and Along Came Polly (which he also directed) doesn’t have to go begging to find work.
So it’s not surprising that Universal and Working Title have snapped up his new script The Troubleshooter and hired him to direct and produce the film. The comedy thriller follows a regular-Joe TV installation technician who, after he’s mistaken for someone else, has to flee a pair of professional killers.
Sounds like the sort of thing that Stiller could do well, though there’s no word yet on whether he’ll be appearing.
