James Gunn is taking the drip feed approach to casting announcements when it comes to The Belko Experiment, the horror thriller he’s producing. The Guardians Of The Galaxy director has announced that John C. McGinley and Melonie Diaz are now aboard the film.

Wolf Creek’s Greg McLean is handling the directorial chores on this one, since Gunn has his hands full wrangling together another script about Rocket Racoon and co.

The Belko Experiment, which Gunn wrote several years ago and has since polished, is set at a facility of the Belko company in South America which is mysteriously sealed off at the beginning of a work day, and its employees ordered to either kill each other or be killed themselves. This starts an escalation of violence, where we discover the true nature of each and every Belko employee. McGinley will be socially awkward executive Wendell Dukes, a man who prefers to socialise with friends such as Barry Norris (Tony Goldwyn) and doesn’t enjoy being around his employees. Diaz will be Dany Wilkins, the new girl at the facility who is about to experience the worst employee orientation of all time.

With John Gallagher Jr. also in the cast, McLean will kick off shooting next month in Bogota, Colombia. Expect more cast members to be announced in the coming days.
