Joel Schumacher Visiting Town Creek

Making a new vampire horror

The words “Nazi vampire” don’t exactly conjure up visions of buttercups and puppies, unless the person in question enjoys their blood with a side order of puppies wrapped in fresh buttercups. Mmm… puppycups.

So you can’t help but think that Joel Schumacher’s onto a winner of a villain for his next film. The director, who is currently on post-production for the Jim Carrey-starring thriller The Number 23, has decided that Town Creek will be his next movie.

Schumacher's no stranger to neck-snacking fiends, having directed The Lost Boys, so this is right up his jugular vein. The horror sees a West Virginia native who is forced to question his own morals when rescuing his brother from the clutches of the aforementioned Hitler-loving bloodsucker means slaughtering the family protecting it. Sometimes you just gotta do what you gotta do…

Dave Kajganich, who is becoming something of a horror guru (he has the Invasion Of The Body Snatchers remake The Visiting and a Pet Cemetery redo already stalking through Hollywood), will scribble the script. There’s no cast attached yet.
