Jim Carrey has written a children's book called 'Roland Rolls', about a wave called Roland, who rolls. He's also started shooting the long-awaited **Dumb & Dumber **sequel, Dumb & Dumber To, with Jeff Daniels also returning, as this photo below proves.
It's startling to see Harry and Lloyd back together again, 20 years after they drove around in a dog-shaped car, occasionally eating chilis, occasionally consuming laxatives. Their haircuts have stayed the same, although there are a few more wrinkles on show.
The picture was tweeted to Carrey's WhoSay account with the words "How Roland Rolls comes out TODAY but it may be a little too sophisticated for Lloyd and Harry! Yep... THEY'RE BAAAAA…" alongside it. It doesn't tell us much more about the film's story, but it does tell us it's definitely, really, actually happening. Hoorah!
What makes the snap all the more delightful is that the book is upside-down (of course) and Daniels just won an Emmy for his portrayal of the altogether more serious anchorman Will McAvoy in Aaron Sorkin's Newsroom two days ago. Will Mr. McAvoy make some sort of cameo in the world of Harry and Lloyd? Here's hoping.
Now there's another photo, this time sans book but blessed with a pair of crossed eyes, fresh from Jeff Daniels' Twitter feed.
As for the plot, nothing official has been announced, but rumours suggest that one of the boys needs a kidney transplant and tracks down a child he somehow managed to spawn to see if he can find a compatible donor.
Writing duties this time are being handled by **Horrible Bosses **contributors John Morris and Sean Anders, with Peter and Bobby Farrelly back behind the camera. The film is aiming for release next summer, which marks 20 years since the original hauled in nearly $250 million at the box office.
