Having brought his style and smarts to TV with Devs last year, Alex Garland is headed back to the big screen for a new film called Men. And he has Rory Kinnear on board, with Jessie Buckley locking in a deal to star.
Deadline's report on the casting has only a few details on the film, including this brief synopsis: "a young woman who on a solo vacation to the English countryside after the death of her ex-husband." That's sure to be the surface of a much more complex story.
A24, which oversaw Garland's first directorial effort, Ex Machina is on to produce and distribute the film, with Scott Rudin once again producing. Hopefully, this should be shooting in 2021.
