The clock is ticking down on Jessica Jones – and all the Marvel shows – on Netflix as the deal with Disney expires and the shows are unceremoniously cancelled by the streaming service. The Krysten Ritter-starring superhero series will be done after its third season airs this month, and the trailer has arrived with little fanfare.
As the fallout from last season's clash between Jessica and Trish (Rachael Taylor) continues to affect their shattered relationship, a new threat emerges that might actually help to mend some fences, if only because it presents a common foe, in the shape of a highly intelligent psycho.
Yet a devastating loss reveals their conflicting ideas of heroism and sets them on a collision course that will forever change them both. We suppose it wouldn't be Jessica Jones if it was truly a happy ending...
Ritter stepped behind the camera to direct an episode this year, and returning regulars such as Eka Darville, Carrie-Anne Moss and Rebecca De Mornay are joined by new recruits such as Benjamin Walker and Jeremy Robb.
Season 3 lands on Netflix on 14 June.
