Fresh from teaming up with the Defenders, Jessica Jones is back in the spotlight for Netflix’s next Marvel drama - and we have an exclusive image from the forthcoming Season 2.
The powered-up private eye is returning to the streaming service in March, with the plot for the upcoming run being kept tightly under wraps, villain and all. We do know that David Tennant’s will-subverting Kilgrave will be back in some form (despite — spoiler warning — getting his neck snapped in the Season 1 finale), though it sounds like the focus is moving beyond the PTSD and abuse themes of the last run.
Still, the inner workings of Jones’ life and psyche are still firmly on the menu. “We’re always digging deeper into Jessica’s character and this season we’re peeling back even more layers, revealing more about the experiences that have shaped her present-day life,” show runner Melissa Rosenberg told Empire.
