Jessica Jones - Season 2

Though the second season may not have been quite as lauded as the first, Jessica Jones remains one of the better – if not the best – of the Marvel/Netflix shows. The streaming service's confidence in the series has been rewarded with a third season.

That's a good thing, since Season 2 (spoiler alert if you've yet to catch up) saw Krysten Ritter's hard-living title character trying to put the pieces of her life together after killing her tormentor, Kilgrave (David Tennant), only for her presumed-dead mother Alisa (Janet McTeer) to re-enter her life unexpectedly.

And things were left with a definite cliffhanger despite some resolution, as Jessica's best friend Trish Walker (Rachael Taylor) killed Alisa Jones and Malcom (Eka Darville) appeared ready to move on with his life. It'll be interesting to see which strands show-runner Melissa Rosenberg chooses to run with next year, but expect Jessica and Trish to definitely come into conflict.

Netflix has yet to announce a date for Season 3 to start, but hopefully we won't have as long to wait this time.
