She might be best known for shows such as Game Of Thrones and Iron Fist (and one of the best things in the latter), but with her tenure on the Marvel/Netflix series at an end, Jessica Henwick can turn more of her attention to movies. She's now joined the cast of Monster Party, which will star Dylan O'Brien.
Michael Matthews is on board to direct the coming-of-age tale of a young man (O'Brien) surviving in a post-apocalyptic world that has become overrun by monsters. He has to travel through a hostile environment to find the girl of his dreams (Henwick), though it turns out she's a lot more than he initially thinks. Brian Duffield wrote the first drafts of the script, with Matthew Robinson working up new revisions.
With Michael Rooker and Ariana Greenblatt also among the cast, the cameras have started to roll on this one in Australia for Paramount's Players division.
Henwick, who will also be seen in Godzilla Vs. Kong, and action thriller Underwater, hasn't abandoned TV altogether, and has a role in Netflix series Gods & Heroes.
