Following the news that soon-to-be-ex-husband Nick Lachey has signed up power-lawyer Laura Wesser to handle his interests (she's 'done' Angelina Jolie and Denise Richards), Jessica Simpson has unleashed her own defence: Robert Kaufman, who represented Jennifer Aniston in her divorce from Brad Pitt this year. A mate of Jessica’s says: "Jennifer handled her divorce with Brad like a lady, in a non-sleazy way, and Jessica wants to do the same." And stop Nick getting his mitts on her $50m fortune as well, presumably.
