After forging a fast and lasting friendship on the set of The Help, Jessica Chastain and Octavia Spencer have been looking for something that would let them work directly together again. They've found what they need in a new, yet-to-be-titled comedy.
Chastain and Kelly Carmichael cooked up the original treatment for the idea, and Peter Chiarelli will be writing the actual script, which reportedly follows two women battling the elements as they try to make it home for Christmas. You can certainly imagine two very different characters in a Planes, Trains And Automobiles-style fashion.
Universal nabbed the rights to the movie on a bidding war against Fox and Paramount and Chastain's Freckle Films company will produce it. Chastain is on screens in Molly's Game, while Spencer will be back in UK cinemas with The Shape Of Water, which comes ashore on 14 February.
