After a strong turn in the most recent season of TV's Fargo, Jesse Plemons is finding yet more film work. He's now boarding the cast of Scott Cooper's latest, Hostiles, which stars Christian Bale.

Serving as a reunion for the director of Out Of The Furnace and his lead, Hostiles also sees Plemons working with the filmmaker again, as he appeared in Cooper's Black Mass.

The new is set in 1892 film finds Bale as a legendary Army Captain, a man with no love for Native Americans after years of conflict, agreeing to escort a dying Cheyenne war chief and his family back to tribal lands. But the journey will not be an easy one – they have to make it from an isolated military outpost in New Mexico to the grasslands of Montana while overcoming the challenges of the landscape and hostile Comanche tribes. But they also encounter a young widow (Rosamund Pike) who is making a similar trip, and must join forces if they're all to survive.

Plemons will play a younger member of Bale's cavalry unit, who has to help his commander on the tough mission. Cooper is on script duty for the film and should be rolling the cameras and the caravan wheels in July. As for Plemons, he also has a role in drug trafficking drama Mena, which will land here on January 6 next year.
