Jessie Eisenberg certainly made an impact over the last couple of years with the likes of Adventureland, Zombieland and, especially this year, The Social Network. And he’s just locked in his next job, according to The Wrap: Eisenberg has joined the cast of indie dramedy Free Samples.
But despite his rising star status thanks to David Fincher’s latest, he won’t actually be starring. Nope, the lead role goes to Jess Weixler, who is still probably best known for sharp drama Teeth. In Samples, she’ll play a law school dropout who fills her time by working as a server at her pal’s food truck, and dishes out free ice cream tastes.
Eisenberg will be a bloke who tries to win her heart. Also in the film are Jason Ritter, Tippi Hedren, Halle Pfeiffer, Keir O’Donnell, Jocelyn Donahue and Matt Walsh.
Jay Gemmill is busy directing the film in LA from a script by Jim Beggarly.
