Indie eco-terror thriller Night Moves has had somewhat of a difficult gestation so far. **Meek’s Cutoff **writer-director Kelly Reichardt had lined up Paul Dano, Rooney Mara and Peter Sarsgaard for the leads, but Dano and Mara (who had only reached the early talks stage) are now out and Jesse Eisenberg and Dakota Fanning are in their place.
Sarsgaard is still locked in to play the bomb-making part of a group of three eco-activists who plan to blow up a dam. Eisenberg will be the ringleader, while Fanning is looking to make a deal to play a rich girl who funds the whole idea.
If they can get the cast in place, Reichardt and his collaborators are aiming to shoot the movie this October in Oregon.
Eisenberg is as busy as ever, and will next show up in To Rome With Love (out September 14), followed by Now You See Me, and Richard Ayoade’s The Double. Fanning's upcoming films include Now Is Good (September 19) and the final chunk of Twilight, Breaking Dawn – Part 2, which arrives on November 16.
