Given that he tends to lend his services a little more sparingly than some, it’s perhaps surprising that Jerry Lewis would sign on to The Trust, a drama about crooked cops that already features Nicolas Cage and Elijah Wood in its cast. But apparently directing duo Alex and Ben Brewer are aiming for some sort of Most Eclectic Ensemble award.

The Trust is set in Las Vegas and finds Cage and Wood as dodgy cops on the look out for a fresh payday while working in the evidence room of their department. When they discover a mysterious safe that has unusual safeguards in the back of a neighbourhood convenience store, they naturally covet the contents, which leads them even deeper into the criminal underworld, threatens their lives and leaves them questioning their next move... As for Lewis, he’ll be Cage’s dad, and that’s a screen pairing we definitely want to see realised.

With a script by Ben Brewer and Adam Hirsch, the film is shooting right now in Vegas but doesn’t yet have a set release date. Who are they going to cast next? Pennywise from It? Triumph the Insult Comic Dog? We'd watch either of those, to be honest.
