More casting news today for Guy Ritchie's return to the UK's criminal scenes after some blockbuster dalliances. Jeremy Strong, most recently seen in TV drama Succession, is jumping aboard.
Ritchie wrote the script with Marn Davies and Ivan Atkinson, and he'll also produce a film that chronicles what happens when a very upright English drug lord attempts to cash out his profitable empire by selling it to a family of Oklahoma billionaires.
Strong will be Cannabis Kingpin Matthew, a man who is looking to seize control of the last lucrative illegal market in Europe. He joins a cast that already includes Matthew McConaughey, Hugh Grant, Henry Golding, and Kate Beckinsale. The cameras should be cranking soon in the UK.
Next up for Strong is Steven Knight's new thriller Serenity, which also happens to star McConaughey. It'll hit our cinemas on the 23rd of this month.
