Having shared the screen last year in Avengers: Age Of Ultron, Jeremy Renner and Elizabeth Olsen are set to reunite. They're ditching the Hawkeye and Scarlet Witch costumes for the crime drama Wind River. The screenplay is by Sicario writer Taylor Sheridan, who'll also make his directorial debut here.
The story, set in the Utah wilderness, will see Renner playing a ranger who stumbles across the frozen body of a murdered girl. Olsen will be the investigating FBI agent who enlists Renner's further help in negotiating the hostile elements and unfamiliar terrain.
Basil Iwanyk, who produced Sicario, is likewise overseeing this one through his Thunder Road production company. Peter Berg and Matthew George are also among the producing team.
Sheridan will start shooting Wind River in Park City in March, and the project will be looking for distribution deals at the European Film Market in Berlin next month.
