After typically winning over the Comic-Con crowd at the Mockingjay – Part 2 panel and enthusing over Bill Murray this weekend, it’s back to the business of making movies for Jennifer Lawrence. The actress is now attached to star in **The Rosie Project **for Sony{ =nofollow}.

Written by Graham Simison, the book tells the story of professor Don Tillman, a genetics expert on the Asperger’s scale who never seems to be able to land a second date. He starts The Wife Project, working up a questionnaire to find the perfect partner, but is instead entranced by the free-spirited Rosie, who matches none of his criteria but might just be his soulmate. The book has been big both here and in Australia where it's set, and a sequel, The Rosie Effect, arrived last year. And the unpredictable nature of the Rosie character feels like the sort of role Lawrence could pull off.

(500) Days Of Summer writers Scott Neustadter and Michael H. Weber have written the most recent draft of the script and **Jump Street **duo Christopher Miller and Phil Lord had been involved in its development with a potential eye to directing, though that has since been neutralised by their signing on to direct the stand-alone Han Solo film. So the producers, which include Matt Tolmach and Michael Costigan, have started the search for another director.

Lawrence will be back as Katniss Everdeen in The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2, which arrives on November 19, followed by her next collaboration with David O. Russell, Joy on January 1 next year and X-Men: Apocalypse, the actress’ potential swansong with the mutant universe, landing on May 19.
