Kidnap thriller Gone already boasts Red Riding Hood’s Amanda Seyfried in the lead. Now the movie is adding Jennifer Carpenter, Wes Bentley and Emily Wickersham to its cast line-up.
Heitor Dhalia is directing the movie, which focuses on a kidnapping survivor (Seyfried) who strikes out to find the criminal, who she believes has now snatched her sister.
Carpenter is usually found as Michael C Hall’s sweary sister Debra Morgan in Dexter, though she’s cropped up on the big screen in Faster and Quarantine. Wickersham, meanwhile, is currently in cinemas with her role in I Am Number Four. And Bentley? He’s still busy trying to forget he was ever a part of Jonah Hex.
Dhalia will kick off shooting in April, working from Untraceable writer Allison Burnett’s script. Lakeshore Entertainment and Sidney Kimmel Entertainment have scared up the funds to get this one made, while Twilight studio Summit has the rights to the movie across the pond. There’s no word on when it might arrive on our screens, but it’ll likely arrive either later this year or in 2012.
