While we've gotten used to seeing Jeffrey Dean Morgan as the bullying, cocky villain Negan on The Walking Dead, he's still been busy with other projects. He, David Strathairn, Julian Feder and Julie Ann Emery are on to star in family drama Walkaway Joe.
Tom Wright will make his directorial debut with the film, working from a script by Michael Milillo. The story chronicles an unlikely friendship between a teenage boy searching for the father who abandoned his family, and a wandering loner hiding from his past. The cameras are already rolling on this one in Louisiana.
In addition to his continued (if reduced) Negan duties, Morgan also found time to appear in Rampage this year. Strathairn has, if anything, been even busier, working on shows such as The Expanse and McMafia. He'll be heard in a film about The Gettysburg Address and in Edward James Olmos' The Devil Has A Name.
