Life, as he so famously said in the first Jurassic Park, finds a way. Unfortunately it appears that the filmmakers behind the latest sequel to Steven Spielberg’s dino-venture haven’t found a way to include Jeff Goldblum in Jurassic World. Still, it seems Roland Emmerich remains intent on having him in **Independence Day 2…
Out stumping for Wes Anderson’s The Grand Budapest Hotel, the famously Marmite-loathing actor was asked whether anyone had reached out about the new** Jurassic Park** entry. “No, nobody asked me, but I was perfectly satisfied with the two that I did” he told The Huffington Post. “I'm still satisfied with that and I'll be the first in line to see anything else, so, you know.”
But if you were worried that the Goldblum levels in upcoming studio tentpoles might be too low, Emmerich and the **Independence Day **team have your back - and Goldblum’s phone number. Though there have been reports that the actor is attached for a while, we now have it from the source.
“Yeah, they've talked to me about it and I've talked to them about it and they're excited and I'm anxious and eager to see – I haven't read anything – what they cook up. You know, I think they're trying to put it together.”
We’d guess big alien ships, lots of destruction and Goldblum being eccentric. The (so far) Jeff-free Jurassic World is set to land on June 12 next year, while the Independence Day sequel is currently targeting July 1, 2016 for release. You can get your Goldblum fix in Wes Anderson's latest, The Grand Budapest Hotel, which opens for business on March 7.
