Like an expanding actor-nova, the cast of corporate comedy Horrible Bosses shows no sign of stopping its expansion, adding Saturday Night Live’s Jason Sudeikis to a cast that already includes Jamie Foxx, Jennifer Aniston, Colin Farrell and Jason Bateman{
And as the latest casting is announced, there’s also a little more plot detail to be found in the Risky Business blog’s report.
Sudeikis is signed on to play one of a trio of friends (with Bateman and Charlie Day) who are so sick of their annoying superiors at work that they plot to swap their murders, in a story that mashes up Strangers On A Train with Office Space.
Aniston and Farrell are playing two of the targeted bosses, while Foxx – who was first thought to be also played a corporate shyster – is on for the role of a scam artist who advises the stressed employees how to go about their murderous tasks.
New Line, which seems happy to keep employing Sudeikis, since he’s worked on Going The Distance and Hall Pass already this year for the company, has Seth Gordon in the director’s chair. The King Of Kong filmmaker is now in pre-production, aiming for a July release date next year.
