Netflix is clearly looking to stay in business with Ozark star/producer Jason Bateman. With one film already scoring his services as a producer, he's now in talks to direct another for the streaming service, heist movie Here Comes The Flood.
The new film began life as a spec script from writer/producer/director Simon Kinberg, and it's described as "an elevated, character-driven love-story heist movie, with the heist playing out in increments". Take that as you will. Kinberg shopped the script around and Netflix flashed the cash to buy it after a quick auction.
If Bateman does make a deal, he'll also produce the film and might end up in front of the camera too, though all those decisions will have to wait. He's going to be busy working on Ozark's third and final season first, and then will consider his next step.
