While you might think he'd have enough on his plate with Netflix series Ozark, Jason Bateman will have a little more free time when the show wraps up next year. And he's already looking to fill it with directing jobs, including heist filmHere Comes The Flood and this new potential pic, Superworld.

The film will find Bateman working again with Mark Perez, who wrote Game Night. He's adapting Gus Krieger's novel and audiobook, which is set in 2038 where every person on the planet has superpowers, except for one man named Ignatius Lohman. Lohman is stuck in a white-collar job while his father is one of the most powerful people on the planet and leader of defense organization Peerless. But Lohman will get his chance to step up when he is forced to face a corporate overlord whose power is neutralizing anyone with a superpower. It's already being talked about as along the lines of The Incredibles, but it also sounds akin to Sky High.

Warner Bros. nabbed the rights to the book, and has Bateman aboard to produce as well as direct.
