As previously reported, Japanese audiences will be treated to their own Paranormal Activity sequel in December, parallel to and separate from the Paranormal Activity 2 we'll be enjoying in the west. Paranormal Activity: Tokyo Night** now has a trailer, and here it is.
It's not quite as cryptic as the American equivalent, which people (not least us) have pored over since it went online a few months ago. No mirror babies, floor-writing or dogs barking at nothing, but there is quite a nifty split-screen moment where two characters sleeping in different rooms jump awake at the same time. Plus the spectacle of lots of Japanese girls wearing those blankets that have arms.
Tokyo Night follows a foreign exchange student as she travels home from San Diego to Japan, taking Oren Peli's stalker poltergeist with her. Toshikazu Nagae (Ghost System) directed from his own script.
There are no details yet of an international release, but our own Paranormal Activity 2 is out on October 22.
