Chick-lit novel The Thing About Jane Spring, by Sharon Krum, will be getting a big-screen makeover at Paramount Pictures. With all the hallmarks of a rom-com hit, the story concerns a successful career woman (a lawyer in the book, a Hollywood producer in the movie) who just can’t seem to land herself a man.
The problem is she was brought up by her father, a general, so she’s hardly in touch with her feminine side. But she sees the light after watching a Doris Day movie marathon and decides to reinvent herself.
