Cast your mind back to April this year, when Rosamund Pike was cast as real-life war reporter Marie Colvin in A Private War. She'll get some support from Jamie Dornan, who has joined the film.

Arash Amel has written the script, which adapts Marie Brenner's 2012 Vanity Fair article Marie Colvin's Private War. It'll chronicle the work of Colvin, who filed reports from conflict zones including Chechnya, Kosovo, Sierra Leone, Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka, where she lost her left eye in 2001. She became known for her distinctive patch, and kept working, dying during a rocket attack in 2012 while covering the civil war in Syria.

While Variety's report on Dornan's casting doesn't mention him, Taron Egerton was mentioned as also aboard in September. Matthew Heineman, who last made the Oscar-nominated documentary Cartel Land, is in the director's chair, and the film will kick off production shortly in the UK and the Middle East.

Dornan has a few films on the way, including Fifty Shades Freed (due 9 February) and Untogether. He's also part of the ensemble for the new Robin Hood, which stars Edgerton. That latest take on the character is out on 21 September next year.
