Talk about casting whiplash. Mere days after it was announced he was joining the latest attempt to make a film based on the Sonic The Hedgehog video game, Variety reports that James Marsden will also be seen in a project that couldn't be more different: Quentin Tarantino's Once Upon A Time In Hollywood.
Described as a Pulp Fiction-style blend of stories from Los Angeles in the late 1960s, the film follows various characters, but focuses on former Western TV series star Rick Dalton (Leonardo DiCaprio) and stunt double Cliff Booth (Brad Pitt), men trying to find their way in a Hollywood neither man recognises as the Manson cult stalks and strikes fear into people. Dalton's connection with the Manson murders is his neighbour, Sharon Tate (Margot Robbie).
Marsden's role is being kept quiet for now, opening up speculation that he's potentially playing Charles Manson. And he's not alone in this latest casting call: Julia Butters has also joined the film. Tarantino's latest is due in cinemas on 9 August next year.
Marsden, meanwhile, is currently to be found playing Teddy on Westworld. Poor Teddy.
