As if starring in Paul Potts biopic One Chance and the upcoming indie Can A Song Save Your Life? wasn’t enough music-based comedy and/or drama filmmaking for him, James Corden is going darker with his next effort, joining the cast of Britpop satire **Kill Your Friends alongside Tom Riley, Georgia King, Craig Roberts and Edward Hogg.
Nicholas Hoult and Jim Piddock are already aboard Owen Harris film, which John Niven adapted from his novel. Kill Your Friends finds 27-year-old A&R man Steven Stelfox (Hoult) carving out quite the career for himself in the London music industry. Zigzagging around the world in search of the next massive hit (powered by greed and huge snorts of Colombian marching powder), Stelfox will do anything for that elusive new sensation. Even if it means getting a little more cut-throat than the competition… Literally.
With Hoult stepping into Rafe Spall’s place, Harris is scheduled to start the cameras rolling, the choons blaring and the fake coke flying early next week.
