When Amazon’s acquisition of MGM was confirmed, it didn’t take someone with 00 status to realise why they’d want to take on the historic movie studio. Among all the IP included in the deal was Rocky, Robocop, and – most importantly – a slice of James Bond (though Eon still remain the overall producers). While the first Amazon Bond project was recently revealed to be a massive globetrotting gameshow (in the works long before the deal was struck), the thing Prime Video members will have been waiting for has now officially been announced: the entire (canonical) James Bond catalogue is coming to Amazon’s streaming service in the UK very soon.
It’s been revealed that the 25 central Bond movie will be “coming to Prime Video for a limited time” on 15 April – that’s all of them, excluding the 1967 Casino Royale, and 1983’s Never Say Never Again, neither of which were produced by Eon. And yes, last year’s No Time To Die is indeed included. Here’s the official full list:
Dr. No
From Russia With Love
Goldfinger
Thunderball
You Only Live Twice
On Her Majesty’s Secret Service
Diamonds Are Forever
Live And Let Die
The Man With The Golden Gun
The Spy Who Loved Me
Moonraker
For Your Eyes Only
Octopussy
A View To A Kill
The Living Daylights
Licence To Kill
GoldenEye
Tomorrow Never Dies
The World Is Not Enough
Die Another Day
Casino Royale
Quantum Of Solace
Skyfall
Spectre
No Time To Die
The entire 007 saga coming to Prime Video should be a major Amazon draw – though, it’s notable that the collection is announced to be arriving for a “limited time”. (And, for now this is only in the UK.) It may not be a total replacement for the full Blu-ray boxset in that case. Now, where’s that Paloma spin-off at?
