We've become used to seeing Jacob Tremblay as an adorable moppet on screen and a red carpet rock star off it. For a new comedy, he's aiming to break bad, at least as much as a 12-year-old can. Tremblay is starring in a new comedy called Good Boys.

Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky, who have worked on series such as The Office and written movies including Bad Teacher and Year One are making their directorial debuts with the movie. Universal has just snapped up the rights to make the comedy, which is being touted as a blend of Stand By Me and Superbad.

The story finds four 12-year-old boys skipping school for a day of adventure that leads to much comic peril. In the States, the plan is to have the film rated R, which will mean kids the same age as the cast will have to persuade their parents to take them... or sneak it.

With the deal in place, the cameras should be rolling in July. Tremblay will crop up in The Predator, which now has a 13 September release date.
