Though it hit a recent bump in the road with the departure of director Fredrik Bond, Olympus Has Fallen sequel London Has Fallen got right back on track with Babak Najafi taking his place behind the megaphone. And the cast has just expanded by one, with Jackie Earle Haley signing on.

Christian Gudegast, Creighton Rothenberger and Katrin Benedikt are behind the script for this one, which finds Gerard Butler’s Secret Service agent Mike Banning, Aaron Eckhart’s President Benjamin Asher, Angela Bassett’s Secret Service Director Lynn Jacobs and Morgan Freeman’s Speaker Trumbull among those who travel to London to attend the funeral of the Prime Minister.

But when it turns out that there’s a dastardly plot afoot to assassinate world leaders, Mike will have to team up with a distrustful MI6 agent, prove that the fictional Secret Service is not as slipshod as the real one at the moment, and save the day.

With Radha Mitchell also returning as Leah Banning, Haley is aboard to play Deputy Chief Mason, about whom little is known. What is he Deputy Chief of? Is he the Josh Lyman of this set-up or is it Deputy Chief of something other than "Staff"?

The actor, last seen in RoboCop, is editing his directorial debut, Criminal Activities, which should be out next year.
