As always seems to happen when the Jackass boys head out to shoot another batch of barmy stunts, painful pranks and vomit-inducing dares, they shoot far too much footage than can comfortably included in one film. So, as happened with the second film, **Jackass 3.5 is on the way. Only now it appears it’ll hit the web on April Fool’s Day, according to the trailer, which you can watch below.
According to the official statement from December when the project was first announced, “Jackass 3.5 will feature all-new content, including never-before-seen stunts and pranks to rival Jackass 3D’s beehive tetherball and projectile Port-o-Potties. Each week, new stunts and footage will be released online, and will ultimately be packaged together for a full-length film to be distributed digitally before it's released on other platforms.” Which means that, while it won’t be in 3D, it’ll feature even more boundary-shoving material.
And though there’s no word from the gang on if it’ll be geo-locked behind nasty cyber-controls, the fact that the crew shot footage in Europe makes us hopeful that this’ll be a worldwide release. Especially since the web is, y’know, kind of an international affair.
But take a look at the trailer below, which features just a few snippets of new material, including one very painful looking critter encounter…
