You may have seen the results last week of our chat with rising young actor Jack O’Connell, who fresh, from being stranded at sea and being held prisoner by Angelina Jolie for Unbroken, ruled himself out of the** Fantastic Four** casting arms race. Despite its most famous employee’s still-active status, don’t expect James Bond to feature, since A) he’s fictional and this appears to be more of a fact-based story and B) Sony and EON’s lawyers would be on them like Blofeld.
There’s no word on a state date for this one, and a director has not yet been announced. Still, O’Connell’s busy anyway. There’s a good chance he’ll be part of This Is England 1990 and will be seen in 300: Rise Of An Empire (out 7 March) and excellent indie Starred Up, which arrives on March 21. Unbroken, meanwhile, touches down on December 26.
