Not only are their names complimentary, but Jack Black and Mike White have generally made beautiful comedy together, with White usually providing the script and Black in front of the camera. They’re back together, with White producing and Black starring, along with James Marsden for **The D-Train{ =nofollow}.

**Yes Man **writers Jarrad Paul and Andrew Mogel are stepping up to direct this one, which finds Black chairing the committee of a middle American high school 20-year reunion. Desperate for the acceptance and acclaim he never got in his school days, our hero sees his chance to shine by convincing the guy voted most popular (Marsden) to attend.

Trouble is, the one-time hotshot is now a failed actor primarily working in adverts who has no real desire to parade around his old school. So Black’s character heads to Los Angeles to try to convince him…

As well as his producing duties, White will step in front of the camera to play Black’s one high school friend. The Way Way Back’s Nat Faxon is also, according to The Hollywood Reporter, in talks for an unspecified role. Paul and Mogel are set to start shooting later this month in New Orleans.

Black will next be seen in** Sex Tape** and is voicing Po once more for next year’s Kung Fu Panda 3. Marsden, who last cropped up in Anchorman 2, has Walk Of Shame,** Welcome To Me** and The Loft set to arrive this year.
