London, at least in Hollywood’s eyes, hasn't suffered enough this year. Despite taking a pasting in the likes of G.I. Joe: Retaliation and the upcoming Thor: The Dark World, now another colon-laden title is approaching to mess up our streets. Everyone needs to find shelter because Jack Bauer’s coming to town for 24: Live Another Day.
The miniseries follow-up to the long-running drama - not to be confused with the Bondian Die Another Day - is headed over here with a plot that finds Bauer on the lam in Blighty. With several of the creative team reuniting, the cast will boast Kiefer Sutherland (of course), Kim Raver and fellow show veteran Mary Lynn Rajskub as Chloe.
While the clock will only be set for 12 hours this time (across 12 episodes), exactly what Jack will have to stop / shoot / threaten / evade or otherwise deal with hasn’t been detailed yet, besides telling us that he’s on the run. Will he abide by the UK’s more stringent gun laws and hold a truncheon on bad guys while shouting, “Dash it!”? It’s too soon to tell.
What we do know is that 20th Century Fox wants the series ready to air next summer. Quick! Hide your nuclear weapons – Jack can smell ‘em!
