Judy Blume is one of the most famous authors to write about the precarious, confusing world of tweenage life. One of her best known books, 1970's Are You There God? It's Me, Margaret. is now making it to the big screen. Check out the trailer…

Written and directed by The Edge Of Seventeen's Kelly Fremon Craig, the film focuses on 11-year-old Margaret (Abby Ryder Fortson), who is uprooted from her life in New York City for the suburbs of New Jersey, going through the messy and tumultuous throes of puberty with new friends in a new school.

She relies on her mother, Barbara (Rachel McAdams), who is also struggling to adjust to life outside the big city, and her adoring grandmother, Sylvia (Kathy Bates), who isn’t happy they moved away and likes to remind them every chance she gets.

With Benny Safdie and Elle Graham also in the cast, Are You There God? It's Me, Margaret. will be in UK cinemas from 28 April.
