Dark Phoenix, finally aiming to give the classic X-Men storyline its due, finds Sophie Turner's Jean Grey accidentally exposed to powerful cosmic forces. Her already strong abilities are incredibly magnified, putting everyone she loves (and a few she's not so fond of) at risk. The X-Men, particularly James McAvoy's Charles Xavier and Jennifer Lawrence's Mystique are forced to confront what this means for Jean as she starts to change, influenced by a mysterious alien (Jessica Chastain).
Choosing to step not quite as far into spoiler territory as the previous effort, this new footage focuses more on the young Jean, and her initial meeting with Xavier. Plus more from the space shuttle rescue that leads to her power boost.
