Director James Mangold, the man tasked with handling the next instalment of the Indiana Jones film franchise, is certainly making some interesting casting choices. He's now adding Avengers: Age Of Ultron's Thomas Kretschmann to the mix.
Harrison Ford is back as adventurous archaeologist Dr. Jones, in an adventure that Lucasfilm is keeping quiet for now. Jez Butterworth, John-Henry Butterworth and Mangold wrote the most recent draft of the script, while Steven Spielberg, who has directed all the previous films (there were just three, right?, RIGHT?), is stepping back to just produce this one. He will be involved in many decisions, though.
While this latest outing for Indy has suffered several delays, it is now scheduled for release in July 2022, with Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Mads Mikkelsen already aboard to co-star.
