Indecent Proposal Remake In The Works

Though it has been brought up as a potential remake target in the past, no new version of 1993 drama Indecent Proposal has surfaced, despite Paramount throwing some money at it years ago. Now the studio, through its Paramount Players division, has hired The Girl On The Train screenwriter Erin Cressida Wilson to work on a script, according to Collider.

The original, directed by Adrian Lyne, saw Woody Harrelson and Demi Moore as a young married couple whose lives are changed and relationship threatened when a lonely billionaire (Robert Redford) offers them a million dollars to spend one night in Moore's company. It was one of those movies seen as both a success (earning $266 million on first release) and a little cheesy, since it scored seven Razzie nominations and landed three.

What form the new movie might take is still anyone's guess – there's plenty of scope for tweaks, including even changing the gender of the billionaire. And, as Austin Powers has taught us, we're fairly sure a modern couple would scoff at the million-dollar offer, and only agree to a billion...
