Disney has decided that today is a fine day to release news of a whole host of upcoming releases. Some we knew about, others remain cloaked in mystery, but at least we have a rough idea of when new films from Pixar, Marvel and the Mouse House’s own Feature Animation and DisneyToon teams will be arriving.

As usual, we’d caution that these are the US dates and that there will likely be shifts for UK cinemagoers – Marvel films in particular tend to launch a week or so here before opening Stateside, while the animated offerings usually kick off in America and then wait a few weeks or even months before their arrival in Blighty.

So here’s what we can expect from 2017 onwards… Cars 3 will drive in June 2017, no doubt welcomed with opened arms and then carried aloft on… No, sorry… Can’t keep that one up. Pixar follows with Coco, the Dia de los Muertos film from Lee Unkrich, which lands in November of that year, as was hinted at by the movie’s poster which debuted on D23’s screens.

Following that, in December is a live-action untitled Disney Fairy Tale movie before we head into 2018 with Marvel’s Black Panther, which as you may have read here is now opening in February of that year. Disney’s Gigantic (a ‘toon spin on Jack And The Beanstalk) is in March 2018, while **Toy Story 4 **will be on screens in June of that year.

Superhero sequel Ant-Man And The Wasp is a surprise entry to 2018, slotting in in July, with another live-action untitled Disney Fairy Tale movie in November.

Captain Marvel moves to 2019, which may disappoint some, but we suppose makes sense as it’s not as developed as, say, Ant-Man, which has its primary casting in place and has its look established, with the big push towards Carol Danvers shifting to March. Another live-action untitled Disney Fairy Tale dawns on March 29, with a DisneyToon Studios (the people behind Planes) release set for April.

Most excitingly, The Incredibles 2 now has a firm slot, landing in June of 2019 and followed by yet another live-action untitled Disney Fairy Tale in November – wonder if one of those will be the long-gestating Enchanted sequel?

In 2020, we have Pixar kicking things off with an untitled film for March, followed by the first of the new, untitled Marvel movies in May. Pixar’s back again in June with an untitled effort, while Marvel nabs two slots, one in July and one in November. Finally, there’s a new Disney Feature Animation effort scheduled to later in November. Busy, busy Mouse House…
