Inception Prequel Comic Online

After what seems like far too long a wait, Christopher Nolan’s Inception finally arrives in our cinemas this week, and if you’ve slowly been driving yourself into a frenzy of anticipation, you might want to check out the prequel comic, called The Cobol Job, which has gone online over at Yahoo.

Set before the events of the film, it should be safe for the spoiler phobic to check out, since it’s designed to stand-alone and not give away any of the big plot chunks. Still, those concerned about learning anything might want to stay away until you’ve walked blinking from your local cinema on release day.

The comic itself is short but sweet, with fairly decent artwork of the leads, including Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Leonardo DiCaprio. Written by Jordan Goldberg based on the film itself, it’s also navigated in a way that drives the eye around the page. Oh, and you can also download it for viewing offline.

These prequel stories seem to be becoming more and more popular with studios, though it helps when they’re done right (such as the Star Trek comics that prefigured that film and actually filled in some useful information).

Meanwhile, in case you’ve had the details snatched from your noggin while you sleep, Inception arrives in cinemas on Friday.
