After spending some time in fantasy realms helping Kristen Stewart battle Charlize Theron in Snow White And The Huntsman and being part of the Jack The Giant Killer cast, Ian McShane is coming back to reality. He’s joined the ensemble for Nick Frost’s romantic dance comedy Cuban Fury.

The movie – written by Jon Brown and based on an idea by Frost – sees Nick playing a man who has long since given up his successful dancing career. He’s tempted back into the spotlight for some salsa after falling for his new, American boss (Rashida Jones), but he’ll face some serious competition from his old rival, a sneering Chris O’Dowd.

McShane is the dance instructor who helps get Frost back in fighting form alongside Olivia Colman.

James Griffiths is directing the movie, set to start shooting shortly now that everyone has been through some intense dance training.

As for McShane’s fantastical roles,** Snow White** is on screens now and **Jack The Giant Killer **is due for release early next year.

If you want an exclusive chat with Frost about Cuban Fury, you should track down a copy of this month’s Empire, which includes an interview with him about the movie. You can find it at newsagents and for the iPad in both UK and US varieties. It will also cure trenchfoot. Though legally, we're required to say that the side effects of using it to treat trenchfoot include virulent trenchfoot, so it's probably best just read as a magazine.
