It's almost redundant to ask whether there are plans to make a second Hulk as, apart from the fact that all successful blockbusters seem to spawn them nowadays, further instalments are almost a pre-requisite for comic properties. Nevertheless, Eric Bana has confirmed to the Chicago Sun-Times that Hulk 2 will go ahead, though he can't tell us much more than that. "I guess we will do one," he said. "It might sound silly, but I really haven't thought about it. It's hard to think Hulk when you're in the middle of The Iliad." By that, of course, Bana refers to Wolfgang Petersen's Troy currently shooting in Malta. Bana plays Trojan warleader Hector who faces off against Brad Pitt's Achilles in single combat. "I haven't disfigured Brad Pitt just yet," Bana assures female fans. "We've been working out like crazy. I have to be strong because Achilles kicks my ass." According to USA Today, Hulk writer James Schamus has already begun scripting the second film which, it is reported, will see the emergence of the grey-skinned Hulk that long-time comic readers will be familiar with. When it comes to villains, Schamus has cited The Leader and The Abomination as two possibilities.
