After 13 years together Hugh Grant and Liz Hurley have announced that they are to separate. A spokesperson for Simian Films, the production company the pair run together, said it was, "a mutual and amicable decision." The couple first met in 1987 when they starred in 'Rowing In The Wind', where Grant played the poet Byron. Although they haven't acted together since, Hurley was producer on the Grant starrers Extreme Measures and Mickey Blue Eyes. Their relationship was thought to be one of the strongest in showbiz, as she forgave him for his arrest after being caught with prostitute Divine Brown in 1995. Apparently there are no other people involved and the split, which is supposed to be temporary, is being put down to their busy, and conflicting schedules. Hugh is about to film Bridget Jones Diary in London while Liz, who is still the face of cosmetics giant Este Lauder, has just completed Bedazzled with Brendan Fraser, where she plays the Devil.
