House of Cards - Season 6

It’s not exactly news that Kevin Spacey won’t be starring in the final season of House Of Cards, the Netflix political drama that he headlined for several years before the allegations against him came out. But it seems the streaming service won’t be prolonging the mystery about the fate of his character Frank Underwood – an official teaser clip from the new season shows what’s become of the former US President. This is your SPOILER WARNING – if you don’t want to know anything before the episodes drop on 2 November, don’t read any further.

Still here? OK, well it looks like Frank has been killed off for the final run, with Robin Wright’s Claire Underwood (aka the new President) standing over his grave. “I’ll tell you this though, Francis,” she says. “When they bury me, it won’t be in my backyard. And when they pay their respects they’ll have to wait in line." The clip then shows Frank’s grave, dated 1959 – 2017. Who’s done him in? Did Claire do it herself? Or is it natural causes? We’ll have to wait to find out – but it seems Netflix probably wanted to get ahead of the ‘where’s Frank?’ mystery and instead make viewers excited for Wright’s ascension to the show’s central role.

Earlier this week we shared a brand new image from House Of Cards’ final season, showing Wright stood at the Presidential podium and giving an address.
