For those of you already standing in line for the film adaptation of Douglas Adam's best-selling sci-fi masterpiece, The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy, here's some news to wet your appetite: Sir Stephen Fry, England's most intellectual actor, comedian, novelist, playwright and BAFTA host (yes, there really is no end to his talents) has signed on to voice the character of The Guide, the electronic book which accompanies hero Arthur Dent as he hurtles around the galaxy in his delightfully warm dressing gown after Earth is inconveniently destroyed by an alien road crew. The English gent is a welcome addition to an already mammoth cast list which includes The Office's Martin Freeman, comedian and last year's Empire Awards host Bill Bailey (as the voice of the whale who floats around aimlessly in space), our favourite leg wrestler John Malkovich (for those of you who didn't catch Graham Norton's' NY shows, it featured the actor getting down and dirty on the studio floor with the bewildered host, locking legs in a wrestling match
