Triple-threat Adam Rifkin will write, direct and star in pre-historic comedy Homo Erectus.
The film tells the story of Ishbo, a caveman who wants a life outside of hunting, dragging women back to his cave and waiting for someone to invent fire. The rest of his tribe, including the woman he loves, think his deep thinking is a sign of madness.
The pic is described as being in the same vein as Woody Allen’s Bananas and Sleeper. Rifkin started out in public access television in the US (think Wayne's World) but made the transition to the big screen, notably as one of the screenwriters of Small Soldiers.
