Yep, the sisters are doing it for themselves, alright. And now we know which one's doing it the best. Showing that she's lost none of her industry savvy and is still fulfilling any old girl power clich you'd like to mention, Julia Roberts has come out victorious as the highest-paid actress in all of tinseltown and is rated an impressive 12th in this year's list of the 100 Most Powerful Women in Hollywood. Only beaten by such feminine heavies as the Paramount Pictures Chairwoman Sherry Lansing, the boss at Universal Pictures, Stacy Snider, and Vice Chair at Sony Pictures, Amy Pascal, who filled the first three places of the list respectively, Roberts more than saw off competition from upstarts like Cameron Diaz and Reese Witherspoon despite only appearing in Steven Soderbergh's box office flop Full Frontal in the U.S. this year. But she'd better watch out. At 32 she may be able to demand $20 million before even stepping out for her close up, but she's slipped a whole nine places in the league of female forces from her No. 3 position last year. Diaz has also upped the ante by commanding similar amounts of buckeroos in return for a flash of her superstar smile on film, with Drew Barrymore and new girl on the block, Reese Witherspoon demanding $10 million and no less to grace audiences with their cinematic presence. But where are the Brits, you ask? Well, you'd have to go all the way to number 64 to find the first notable Anglo-Saxon in the roll, the uber-rich J.K. Rowling who, The Hollywood Reporter brains behind the list bizarrely reckons, doesn't even beat Madonna at number 60 in the power stakes. The genius behind Harry less important than Swept Away Madge? What is the world coming to?
