Philippa Boyens is the writer and producer behind The Lord Of The Rings trilogy, as well as King Kong, The Lovely Bones, and all three of The Hobbits, working alongside Peter Jackson and Fran Walsh throughout.

While she was here in London promoting the first instalment of the **Hobbit **trilogy, The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, Boyens stopped by Empire's studio to talk us through some key moments of how they made the film – though as you may have guessed, it's chock full of spoilers, so be sure to listen to this only after you've watched the film...

Some key moments you may enjoy hearing about include details on Peter Jackson's Hobbit cameo, the T-shirts girls on the set had printed that read "You can defile me anytime" as well as Ms. Boyens' bed-based writing habits.
